Program Officer
Sarah Allan is a Program Officer for Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) in Toledo, Ohio where she works to support neighborhood revitalization with a focus on commercial district, real estate, and small business development, as well as creative placemaking.  She also leads LISC’s efforts on Welcome Toledo-Lucas County (TLC), an initiative working to build a welcoming and inclusive community for immigrants, refugees, and people of diverse cultures. Before joining LISC, Sarah was the Assistant Director of Greater West Town Community Development Project in Chicago, Illinois and has international experience working as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Guatemala. She has her Master of Arts from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Women’s Studies from the Ohio State University. She is on the Ohio CDC Association Board of Trustees and the Secretary for the Ohio Theatre & Event Center Advisory Board, a historic neighborhood theater in North Toledo. Sarah is a Toledo native and, in her spare time, enjoys volunteering, reading, practicing yoga, and being with family.
