Daniela Naumov is a junior at Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh and a student advocate for more
welcoming and inclusive communities. As the daughter of two immigrants from Serbia and
Macedonia, Daniela channels her empathy through action, serving as a Youth Board Member
for the Global Minds Initiative (GMI). GMI is a student-led afterschool program that bridges
English as a Second Language students and native English speakers. Since 2016, Global
Minds has expanded into 23 schools and 2 countries, reaching over 1,500 students. In her free
time, Daniela enjoys conducting science research and presenting at local science fairs, in hopes
of integrating diverse, as well as female voice into all professional communities.
