Moving the Needle on Workforce Integration

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Despite today’s challenging federal climate towards immigrants, there are a number of innovative approaches and partnerships advancing workforce integration, including the growing trend of state Offices for New Americans, local WIOA plans that are inclusive of immigrant populations, and newly developed On-the-Job Training opportunities for immigrants with international education and experience. In addition to highlighting specific initiatives in immigrant workforce integration and economic development, session panelists will explore the importance of multi-sector/multi-stakeholder partnerships in working towards a more nation-wide strategy for immigrant integration through partnerships with organizations that provide platforms and programs to enhance collaboration. Participants will leave the session with concrete ways in which they can “move the needle” to support immigrant workforce integration in their own communities.
